Build your safari before you book it
Choose your route, accommodation and activities while seeing how each choice affects your itinerary and price.
When your design feels right, ask us to confirm availability. Nothing is paid until the details have been checked and you are ready to book.

Choose your route
Choose the route, travel dates and duration that suit you. You’ll also decide where your safari starts and ends, so it fits with your wider travel plans.

Design your safari
Choose your accommodation, room types and activities, with your itinerary and price updating as you go.
All our safaris are private, so your vehicle and guide are exclusively for your travelling party. You can review and refine your design until it feels right.

Check availability
Send us your safari design and we’ll check your chosen accommodation and activities.
If anything is unavailable, we’ll suggest suitable alternatives. No payment is taken while we do this.

Review and book
We’ll send you the confirmed itinerary and final price to review. You only pay when you’re happy with everything and ready to proceed.
If you book more than 70 days before departure, you’ll pay an initial amount followed by the remaining balance 70 days before your safari. If you book within 70 days of departure, full payment is required when you book.
- 05
Meet your local operator
Once booked, we’ll introduce you to one of our carefully selected local safari operators.
They’ll finalise the arrangements and deliver your safari on the ground. Your booking and payments are protected through Design My Safari, and we remain responsible for making sure your safari is delivered as agreed.

Get ready to travel
Review your itinerary, explore our safari guides and share the traveller details needed for your trip.
Your local operator will look after you on the ground, while the Design My Safari team remains available before and during your journey.
Then all that remains is to look forward to your safari.
